November 2019
Upcoming Events

Friday Night Youth Outreach
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
St. Peter's opens its doors to the youth & young adults of Baldwin & surrounding areas for a night of basketball in a safe environment, accompanied by the word of God.

Holy Eucharist / Christ The King
8:00 AM
Jeremiah's promise of the execution of "justice and righteousness in the land" finds ironic fulfillment in the execution of Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews. It appears so utterly contradictory that the king should be crucified with the criminal. This victory appears for all the world as ignominious defeat. Yet through the gate of death our Lord opens the door to paradise.
Coffee Hour & Fellowship
11:15 AM
A Lutheran tradition! A great time to catch up with old friends or meet new ones.
Thanksgiving InterFaith Service (All Saints')
7:00 PM
Please join the Baldwin Interfaith Clergy and their Parishes at All Saints Episcopal Church for a special Thanksgiving Service before Thanksgiving. This is a special time for members of different religious communities to come together in the spirit of gratitude

Social Ministry

As Christians we are called to serve others, and it is an important role of the church to support those in need and to share God’s love with all.

Social Ministry provides a variety of opportunities to allow all of us to be active in supporting others and share God’s love and word.  We're always looking for help: Many hands make light the work.

Freeport INN Soup Kitchen Meal Prep - The third Monday of each month starting about 5 pm, we prepare trays of meals in St Peter's kitchen for the Freeport INN Soup Kitchen.

A Living Nativity - Participate as a cast member, stage crew, set builder, etc. in St Peter's yearly Christmas gift to the community that shares the wonder of our Lord and Savior's birth.

Moms Make the World Beautiful - Partnering with St Peter's Youth and The New Life Center of Lutheran Social Services, we assembled bags of beauty products to give to mothers in need for Mothers Day 2019.

Prayer Quilt Ministry - Bring comfort to sick, hurting people. To be wrapped  in a quilt filled with prayers has brought many to a closer relationship with our Lord.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Matthew 25:35-36
