SUN
Holy Eucharist
8:00 AM
As we are invited today to consider what it means to be managers (rather than owners) of all that we have, it is crucial to recall that we are bought with a price. "Christ Jesus, himself human, . . . gave himself a ransom for all." Apart from the generosity of God we have nothing—we are nothing. By God's gracious favor we have everything we need.
Blessing of Backpacks, Students & Teachers
10:15 AM
Takes place during the 10:15 service.
Coffee Hour & Fellowship
11:45 AM
One of the most consistent traditions in any Lutheran Church is coffee hour. Most Sundays at St. Peter's we enjoy fellowship time after the 10:15 service with coffee and snacks.
It’s a great time to catch up with old friends or meet new ones!
SPY Group!

Social Ministry

As Christians we are called to serve others, and it is an important role of the church to support those in need and to share God’s love with all.

Social Ministry provides a variety of opportunities to allow all of us to be active in supporting others and share God’s love and word.  We're always looking for help: Many hands make light the work.

Freeport INN Soup Kitchen Meal Prep - The third Monday of each month starting about 5 pm, we prepare trays of meals in St Peter's kitchen for the Freeport INN Soup Kitchen.

A Living Nativity - Participate as a cast member, stage crew, set builder, etc. in St Peter's yearly Christmas gift to the community that shares the wonder of our Lord and Savior's birth.

Moms Make the World Beautiful - Partnering with St Peter's Youth and The New Life Center of Lutheran Social Services, we assembled bags of beauty products to give to mothers in need for Mothers Day 2019.

Prayer Quilt Ministry - Bring comfort to sick, hurting people. To be wrapped  in a quilt filled with prayers has brought many to a closer relationship with our Lord.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
